Blue Quitach is one of the pioneers of bluegrass in France. Their energetic performance and their professionalism make them one of the best groups in this style of music. The band has done several tours and has taken part in many festivals in France and abroad.

Bluegrass has its origins in traditional American music with the influence of blues, Irish music and even rock music. Though close to country music, bluegrass can be distinguished by its characteristic acoustics produced by the 5-string banjo, the mandolin and the vocal harmonics. Films such as Deliverance and O’Brother have made this style popular, with its pioneers Bill Monroe or Earl Scruggs.
